Accuracy	Unsatisfactory No recognizable melody is present.	Needs Improvement Many notes are incorrect - student seems unfamiliar with the piece	Satisfactory Shows a good feel for the notes, but there are repeated mistakes in pitch. Intonation has not developed appropriately.	Good Mostly correct with a few errors. There may be small intonation problems.	Excellent Pitches are correct and intonation has a characteristic quality sound in all registers.
Tone Quality	Unsatisfactory Sound is totally lacking in quality due to a poorly formed or weak embouchure/grip and/or no breath support.	Needs Improvement Limited projection - tone is poor or range is limited due to the need for a stronger embouchure and/or breath support.	Satisfactory Fair use of projection and fullness of tone.
