Option #1 Pen and paper assessment with 2 short answer questions that related to the learning target.	Culture Hero. N/A	Culture Club. Performance indicates that student understands some of the school resources, programs, culture, and history of ELHS. Several are discussed in detailed and student explains in thoughtful manner what it means to be Eddie.	Culture Shock. Performance indicates partial understanding. A minimal number of resources are discussed and/or what it means to be an Eddie is discussed in the most general or vaguest of terms.	Culture Gap. Response is significantly underdeveloped or off the mark.	Cultural Wasteland. Nothing submitted.
Option #2 Student participates in several school events over the duration of the project then makes an original and creative demonstration of what (s)he learned as a result of interviews and participation. (Participation should be somehow documented within the project.)	Culture Hero. Project addresses central question great deal of depth and understanding. Many important and/or interesting aspects of ELHS history, programs, and culture are presented or represented in the project. Overall, project showcases deep reflection. Creative component cleverly supports the message and/or themes of the project.	Culture Club. Project addresses what it means to be an Eddie and explores some of the school resources, programs, culture, and history of ELHS. The message indicates understanding, though a few aspects of the creative component could be improved so as to better support message/answer.	Culture Shock. Project vaguely addresses central question and/or creative component somewhat obscures central message of project.	Culture Gap. Project totally misses the mark or is notably incomplete in important ways.	Cultural Wasteland. Nothing submitted.
