Content (Plot) 4pts	Outstanding Two or more key scenes or themes from the book have been creatively presented. These make the content of the book clear to the viewer. Audience has a clear understanding of what the story is about without totally giving away the entire story and its ending.	Solid There is one key scene or theme from the book represented in the trailer. This makes the viewer generally aware of the content of the book. Audience has a pretty good understanding of what the story is about or there are too many details giving away too many pieces of the story.	Satisfactory An attempt has been made to depict some aspect of the book, however from the content, the book has not been made clear to the viewer. Audience is confused by what the story is mostly about and/or too many details, giving away the entire story or its ending.	Needs Improvement There is no scene in the trailer that suggests that the student has read the book. The viewer also has no idea of what the book is about. Audience cannot comprehend the story's plot. Not enough information was given to tell the story's highlights.
Storyboard 4pts	Outstanding Creates a comprehensive storyboard displaying the images or scenes to be use in the video.	Solid Creates a basic storyboard displaying the images or scenes to be incorporated in the book talk video.	Satisfactory Creates a limited storyboard that shows a few of the images or scenes to be used in the video.	Needs Improvement Does not complete a storyboard.
Required Elements 4pts	Outstanding Incorporates the following elements in a creative way: Book title, author, statement that the book is available at STMC Library, credits for copyrighted images or music. Satisfactory An attempt was made to use images that create an atmosphere or tone but it needed more work. The choice of images is logical.	Needs Improvement Little or no attempt has been taken to use images to create an appropriate atmosphere or tone.
Audio 4pts	Outstanding Narrator and/or actors speak with enthusiasm; can be clearly understood. Background music/sounds enhance the story and images.	Solid Narrator and/or actors can be understood. Background music/sounds complement the story and images.	Satisfactory It is difficult to understand the narrator and/or actors. Background music/sounds do not complement the story and images.	Needs Improvement Narrator and/or actors cannot be understood. The music is distracting, inappropriate or was not used.
Audience 4pts	Outstanding A very exciting presentation. It grabbed the attention of the viewer with suspense, humour or intrigue from the beginning.	Solid A solid presentation. It grabbed the attention of the viewer but the flow of the presentation is somewhat choppy.	Satisfactory A passable presentation. Some suspense, humour or intrigue but no real “hook” present at the start.	Needs Improvement Flat presentation. Little or no suspense, humour or intrigue to capture the attention of the viewer.
Length 4pts	Outstanding The presentation was 1.30-2:30 minutes long (+ or - 10 secs over).	Solid The presentation was 1.30 minutes long (+ or - 20 secs over).
