Student on Task	Needs Improvement Student did not participate in the lab activity at all.	Satisfactory Student participated in the lab activity from time-to-time, but did not put forth much effort.	Excellent The student participated in the lab activity the entire time and gave 100% effort.
Student Behavior	Needs Improvement Student had to be redirected three or more times for talking during direct instruction and/or disrupting others and/or other inappropriate behavior.	Satisfactory Student had to be redirected one to two times for talking during direct instruction, disrupting others and/or other inappropriate behavior.	Excellent Student did not need to be redirected and behaved appropriately throughout the lab activity.
Following Directions	Needs Improvement Student did not follow the directions and as a result, did not achieve the investigation's desired outcome.	Satisfactory Student followed the directions somewhat but achieved only part of the investigation's desired outcome.
