Dance 1 Performance Rubric One minute performance demonstrating the knowledge of body capabilities and body limitations through movement.
	Poor 3 pts	Fair 4 pts	Good 5 pts
Performance Quality 5 pts	Poor The dancer is not dressed out, hair not back and chewing gum.	Fair The dancer is missing one element: Dressed out hair back or chewing gum.	Good The dancer is dressed out, hair back and no chewing gum.
Emotions & Energy 5 pts	Poor The dancer is not focused, concentrated or committed to the routine.	Fair The dancer communicates to the audience but it is the wrong emotion for the piece.	Good The dancer uses their face to portray a specific emotion to the audience. Energy level is high and the audience feels engaged.
Bones & Muscles 5 pts	Poor They remember some of the dance, little attention is paid to how movements are done or other details of the dance.	Fair Dance performed with attention to most details of technique, but hasn't attained proficiency in muscles and bones.	Good They cover all the muscles and bones discussed in our lesson.
Therapeutic stretching 5 pts	Poor The dancer does not include any therapeutic stretching exercises into the routine.	Fair The dancer displays one therapeutic stretch in the routine.	Good The dancer demonstrates her knowledge of therapeutic stretching by using three or more different examples in the routine.
Knowledge of choreography 5 pts	Poor The dancer remembers a few of the steps but really doesn't try.	Fair The dancer tries to keep up and knows most of the choreography that the group has created.	Good Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the choreography and does it well.
