Grip	Poor Student has the improper grip.	Fair Students grip is slightly off.	Good Students grip is correct.
Set Up	Poor Student has poor posture and knee bend.	Fair Students posture and knee bend is slightly to straight or excessive.	Good Student has the proper posture and knee bend.
Ball Position	Poor Student puts the ball to far forward or to far back.	Fair Students ball position is slightly off.	Good Students ball position is inside the heel of the lead foot to the middle of the stance.
Swing	Poor Student brings the club back way off line and rhythm is very erratic.	Fair Student brings the club back and through slightly off line and rhythm is off speed.	Good Student brings the club straight back with a nice rhythm.
Purpose	Poor Student does not understand the purpose of the 1/2 swing and when it should be used	Fair Student shows some understanding of why and when a 1/2 swing should be used. Demonstates the proper gage of distance 1/2 the time.	Good Student understands how to gage distance and is able to correlate that to amount of back swing.
Activities and Games	Poor Student does not demonstrate the proper swing nor does he or she adequately participate in the activities or games in the class.	Fair Student shows some interest in the activities and games, however is unable to replicate the proper swing in a game setting.	Good Student shows great interest in golf. Is able to properly swing and strile the ball as well as use the proper amount of back swing.
Safty	Poor Student is not careful where he or she is swing the club. Does not respect the rules of the game or physical education class. Swings the club with out making sure it is safe to do so and retrieves the golf balls while others are still hitting.	Fair Student is aware of the proper safty precautions, however does not always follow them. Is mindful of his or her personal space but sometimes forgets to check. Sometimes Retrieves golf balls when others are still hitting	Good Student is aware of his or her personal space and only swings the club when it is safe to do so. Only retireves golf balls when intructed by the teacher.
