Design Project Inspiration Board Design Project Inspiration Board Inspiration Board is the beginning step in the set/costume design for the Design Competition. The board should represent the mood, style and tone of that design component and the student must be able to justify his choices. Inspiration Board
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Mood	Poor Board does not convey a clear mood for the viewer. Viewer must ask the designer to understand the mood they are hoping to convey.	Fair Board has a general mood that the viewer can figure out with some help from the designer.	Good Board clearly represent the mood the designer was hoping to convey with no help from the designer.
Elements	Poor Board was covered less than 70% with medium and only one type of medium was used.	Fair Board was covered 70-90% with medium and 2-3 type of pictures were used.	Good Board was covered 90% or more and the title was clear.
Style	Poor Designer's style choices were not evident - board simply represented what they saw in the movie.	Fair Some designer style was evident, but mostly represented the scenes as they were in the move.	Good Designer's style is evident and does not just reflect the movie version. Designer clearly has a unique style in mind.
Presentation/Paragraph	Poor Designer could not explain either the mood or the style they had chosen. Designer could not explain why they had chosen the items on the board or how they inspired their future design.	Fair Designer could explain either the mood or the style they had chosen. Designer could explain why they had chosen some items on the board and how they inspired their future design.	Good Designer could explain both the mood and the style they had chosen. Designer could explain why they had chosen all items on the board and how they inspired their future design.
