Against all odds Refugee unit This unit is designed to familiarize students with the terminology of people leaving their countries, and to cultivate positive and empathetic attitudes towards them. Refugee Unit

Empathy	Good Students demonstrated deep understanding of how refugees feel, after experiencing what they could have been through, and connected their reflections on their personal experiences and incidences.	Fair Students demonstrated a fair understanding of what refugees had been through, but did not make connections with person experiences.	Poor Students need to elaborate more on refugees' situation, in order to understand and respect the particular group of people.
Terminology	Good All students demonstrated a deep understanding of the difference between "refugee" and "immigrant".	Fair Not all students demonstrated a good understanding of the terminology, as they are still confused.	Poor Students could not differentiate between the terminology and they use the words interchangeably.
Cooperative work	Good The group worked well together with all members contributing significantly to decision making.	Fair The group worked fairly well together with all members contributing some work to decision making.	Poor The group did not work well together, and the decisions were made by only 1-2 students in the group.
