Creating Your Own Sonnet 
The best way to gain appreciation for the sonnet form is to write one of your own. Choose a topic that is import to you and write a Shakespearean sonnet expressing your feelings and thoughts. Requirements: Iambic pentameter for every line Correct rhyme scheme Content-clear subject and story, speaker,tone and message Quatrains/couplets-3 quatrains/1 couplet

Sonnet's parts do demonstrably and exceptionally fulfill the requirements for either an English or Italian-style sonnet.

figurative language-i.e. imagery, similes, metaphors, etc.

Literary devices are few and weak.
