Basketball

Shooting	Excelling -Shoots the ball off the dribble, left/right side -Can catch and shoot. -Good mid-range. -Good lay ups in proper technique. -performs great under pressure situations.	Meeting Student shoots the ball correctly. -Student follows through after their shot. -Student performs slightly above average in shooting.	Approaching Student can sometimes shoot the ball with the proper technique. -Student sometimes follows through after their shot. -Student uses two hands instead of one to shoot.	Beginning -Student cannot shoot the ball with the proper technique. -Student does not follow through after their shot. -Student uses two hands to shoot.
Dribbling	Excelling -Can dribble the ball with the opposite hand under control. -Dribbles waist high. -Dribbles with head up and eyes up. -Shows great ball-handling.	Meeting Student can dribble the basketball with opposite hand in good control and proper positioning. -Student dribbles with head up and eyes up. -Able to pivot while dribbling.	Approaching Student can sometimes dribble the basketball with the opposite hand while moving. -Does not have good ball control. -Cannot dribble with head and eyes up.	Beginning Student reverts to dribbling the ball with the dominant hand while moving. -Dribbles with head and eyes down at the ball. -Rigid stance, knees not bent.
