Approaching Mastery The outline is modest. For the most part, each section is labeled. There are still awkward transition areas. Certain sections are left blank. Contain some grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.	Mastery The organization is clear and coherent. Each section has an order and a purpose. Contains little to no grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
Concepts	Additional Development Needed There is little to no mention of important concepts learned in class and in the text. Concepts that are included are poorly defined and ambiguous.	Approaching Mastery There is a fair amount of concepts. Most of them are defined but are conceptually ambiguous. There are few errors in the definitions themselves.	Mastery Concepts are clearly stated. They are well-defined and are tired back to an applicable example.
Thoroughness	Additional Development Needed The outline looks thrown together at the last minute – e.g., handwritten; done in-class on day it was due).
