Article Reviews Article Reviews Learning Goal: Students develop critical thinking skills to be more conscientious consumers of media. Throughout the semester, there will be 3 article reviews assigned for class. Students will be required to locate and critically review a current media article with psychological implications. Article Reviews
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Summary	Poor Student identifies study findings with few or no additional details.	Fair Student identifies author's main argument and study findings along with some details.	Good Student identifies author's primary argument and key supporting details, including relevant details about method, participants, etc. Student articulates study findings.
Critical Thinking	Poor Student struggles to identify biases or flaws in study.	Fair Student identifies biases or flaws but does not discuss implications of study.	Good Student identifies potential biases and flaws in the article. Student engages in discussion of positive and negative implications of the article.
Recommendations/Questions	Poor Student fails provide either recommendation or question.	Fair Student provides recommendations for improving the study and poses questions, but does not include thoughtful rationale.	Good Student provides recommendations for improving to the article with clear rationale for changes. Student poses thoughtful questions relating to the research, outcomes, or future directions.
