Falling for Math Strategies Falling for Math Strategies Students will calculate the products of a multiplication number sentence using a variety of strategies. Strategies include repeated addition, array, equal group, and a number line. the students will solve 7x9. Computation	Below Grade Level Standards Student shows computation however, shows no evidence of understanding.	Approaching Grade Level Standards Student shows some evidence of understanding. Student includes some computations,however many are incorrect.	Meets Grade Level Standards Student shows evidence of understanding and includes basic computation; some incorrect.	Above Grade Level Standards Student shows exemplar understanding and shows correct computation.
Strategies	Below Grade Level Standards Student is unable to generate any strategies to solve the number problem.	Approaching Grade Level Standards Student begins to develop some strategies but is unable to complete the number problem using the different strategies.	Meets Grade Level Standards Student shows the development of different strategies and i.e. draws a picture, an array,partial products,etc. and completes the number problem using the strategies shown.	Above Grade Level Standards Student shows different strategies to solve the number problem i.e. draws a picture, an array,partial product, etc.and completes the number problem using the strategies with explanations.
Understanding	Below Grade Level Standards Student attempts, but demonstrates no understanding of the number problem.	Approaching Grade Level Standards Student demonstrates a minimal understanding of the number problem.	Meets Grade Level Standards Student shows understanding of the number problem and the strategies used.	Above Grade Level Standards Student shows complete understanding of the number problem.the student uses the strategies, shows and explains how to answer the problem.
Neatness	Below Grade Level Standards Student lacks organization and is not neat	Approaching Grade Level Standards Student work is minimal, minimally organized but neat.
