	Below Standard Missing or incomplete elements 2 pts	Approaching Standard All of the elements are present, but there are so many errors that they take away from the effectiveness. 5 pts	Meets Standard All elements are present and there are no glaring errors. 8 pts	Exceeds Standard Error-free, complete, and is exceptionally creative and innovative. 10 pts
Organization	Below Standard There is no logical order or flow to information; Titles, subheadings, or text are missing; Incomplete information	Approaching Standard Titles, subheadings, and text all follow a somewhat logical outline order; Placement of titles, subheadings, and text make reading difficult; Information is nearly complete	Meets Standard Titles, subheadings, and text all follow logical outline order; Placement of titles, subheadings, and text is easy to follow; Information is complete	Exceeds Standard Organization shows thoughtful or clever placement of subheadings and text. Headings for each section are appropriate.
Visual Appeal	Below Standard Dull design; Fonts, style, and design are very distracting; Graphics confuse the reader or are distorted.	Approaching Standard Design is adequate, but unexciting; Fonts, style, and design are somewhat distracting; Graphics are ill-placed or do not enhance reader's understanding of topic	Meets Standard Design makes reader want to learn more; Fonts, style, and design are appropriate and complement the topic; Graphics draw reader's attention	Exceeds Standard Clever and professional design that compels reader to open brochure. Graphics and design add information through captions or clear data to the reader's understanding.
