Student always stays focused on the assignment and always tries his/her best. Student works at improving skills and understanding of subject matter.

Active attempt is made to achieve the minimum requirements.
Student gives assignment some of his/her attention.
Student sometimes tries his/her best.

Student gives very little attention to the assignment and focuses on socializing.
Student must be reminded to try his/her best.

Student does not attempt the assignment. Student does not try his/her best even after reminders.

Student always listens to the instructor, does not interrupt class and stays on task. Student is always extremely respectful to classmates and teacher. Materials and tools are always handled properly and safely.

Student usually listens to the instructor, does not interrupt class and rarely needs a reminder to get on task. Student is usually respectful towards classmates and/or teacher. Materials and tools are usually handled properly and safely.

Student sometimes listens to the instructor, occasionally disrupts class and needs a reminder to get on task. Student is sometimes disrespectful to the teacher and classmates. Materials and tools are rarely handled properly and safely.

Student rarely listens to the instructor, disrupts class and is not involved with the class activity. Materials and tools are not handled properly and safely.
