What is Literature? Rubric Students will post a response to a discussion board following the correct parameters for proper expression and discussion to demonstrate mastery of the topic. Rubric Code: G23468A By Dnemec Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: English Type: Reflection Grade Levels: 9-12

Demonstrate Knowledge	Poor Student cannot address any concepts mentioned in class , does not answer the questions correctly or coherently .	Fair The student does not address all the questions in the response or does not mention points discussed in class .	Good The student demonstrates knowledge by answering the questions concisely and effectively , mentioning the core points discussed in class. Mentions and identifies the literary genres.	Excellent The student demonstrates vast knowledge by answering and expanding responses for each question . Mentions and correctly identifies all literary genres with examples.
Key Concepts	Poor The student does not mention any of the literary genres discussed in class.	Fair The student does not mention or discuss all the genres presented in class . Mentions 3 or less	Good The student mentions the literary genres discussed in class .	Excellent The student mentions all the literary genres and includes subgenera not covered. Mentions concepts and examples covered in class and modules.
References and Examples	Poor The student does not present examples or references .	Fair The student doesn't cite of reference the correct literary work, provides only two examples.	Good The student effectively references work and can provide a few examples.	Excellent The student effectively references literature work and provides ample several examples.
Participation	Poor The student doest post or reply to classmates .	Fair The student only posted a response and or replied to only one classmate.
