Positive and Negative Space Element of Art Design Task Positive and Negative Space Chair The following is a rubric that was created for the Positive and Negative Space. Rubric Code: FXC8795 By anggross Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Arts and Design Type: Assignment Grade Levels: 6-8, 9-12

Visual Art Rubric
	Level 1 to 2- 10 pts	Level 2 to 3- 15 pts	Level 3 to 4 20 pts
Colorful and Bright Design	Level 1 to 2- My negative space design was not very contrasting.	Level 2 to 3- My negative space design was somewhat contrasting.	Level 3 to 4 My negative space design was contrasting.
Colored Evenly with Markers	Level 1 to 2- My negative space design was unevenly colored. I left a significant amount white spots.	Level 2 to 3- My negative space design was colored a bit more evenly. I left a small amount white spots.	Level 3 to 4 My negative space design was colored evenly and there are absolutely no white spots.
Variety of Negative Space Designs	Level 1 to 2- My negative space designs were all the same in each shape.	Level 2 to 3- My negative space designs were more varied in each shape.	Level 3 to 4 My negative space designs were all different in each shape.
Positive Space Lines	Level 1 to 2- My positive space lines were visible or visibly erased.	Level 2 to 3- My positive space lines were few.	Level 3 to 4 I didn't have any positive space lines.
Clarity of Object	Level 1 to 2- I cannot tell that there is an image of a chair in my drawing.	Level 2 to 3- I can make out a chair, but it is not very clear.	Level 3 to 4 I clearly notice a chair in my drawing.
