Design Your City: Map project Design Your City: Map project You will create a map of a specific Spanish city, using data gathered from your research. Your city map must include: all locations in the project outline, parallel and perpendicular streets (if possible), a directional compass, and clear labels of key structures and places (IN SPANISH). Please include a map title and a map key if necessary. Remember to be creative! Map Componenets	Excellent The map includes a relevant title, accurate compass rose, and map key.	Good The map has either a relevant title, a compass rose, or a key. Map is missing one of the key features.	Average The map does not contain two or more of either a title, an accurate compass rose, or a key.	Poor None of the map components were included.
Listed Landmarks	Excellent The map includes all predetermined landmarks. Landmarks are clearly identified and marked with Spanish names.	Good The map includes fewer than 15 landmarks and/or majority of landmarks are not clearly identified with Spanish names.	Average The map includes fewer than 10 landmarks and incorporates no Spanish place names.	Poor Student failed to identify any landmarks.
Visual Display	Excellent The map includes specific details to include street names that allows map to be easily interpreted.	Good The map incorporates some details, but is unclear in portions. Somewhat difficult to interpret specific locations and proximity.	Average The map does not incorporate details. It is extremely difficult to understand. Locations and proximity are hard to decipher.	Poor Map is incomplete.
Written Composition	Excellent Composition includes sentences pertaining to all locations in proximity to the selected hotel. Sentences are written in Spanish, include prepositional phrases, and have few to no errors.	Good Composition includes sentences pertaining to majority of the locations, but neglects to address certain locations. Sentences are written in Spanish with several errors. Prepositional phrases are used with some accuracy.	Average Composition addresses fewer than 9 locations and/or fails to address locations. Sentences are written in English. No use of prepositional phrases.	Poor Student failed to write a composition element for project.
