Movement Knowledge	Excellent Dancers know the movement extremely well. They are confident and don't need to follow anyone else. Dancers have a great sense of timing & direction.	Good Dancers know the movement fairly well. They keep together, and have a fairly good sense of timing & direction. A few mistakes made.	Needs Improvement Dancers are somewhat unprepared and unsure of the choreography. There is some sense of timing or direction.	Poor Dancers are unprepared and unsure of the choreography. There is no sense of timing or direction.
Performance Quality	Excellent Dancers perform with full confidence. They perform with enthusiasm, and are invested in their the other dancers.	Good Dancers perform with minimal distractions. They look fairly confident and prepared for most of the performance.	Needs Improvement Dancers are sometimes distracted and insecure. They sometimes break the performance by looking around, talking, or giggling throughout performance.	Poor Dancers are distracted and insecure. They are often breaking the performance by looking around, talking, and giggling throughout performance.
Elements	Excellent Strong and consistent evidence that the dancers not only understand the elements of dance, but are able to use the required elements to add interest and variety to their dance.	Good All of the required elements of dance are present and the dancers understand what they are.	Needs Improvement Some of the required elements of dance are present. Dancers do not clearly understand what the elements of dance are.	Poor Dance Did not include any of the elements of dance.
