Chopped Contest Chopped Contest You will be given ingredients to compile an edible creation in a 30 minute lab. You must use at least some of each ingredient in your final product. A designated refrigerator, spices on demonstration table may be used.Ingredients do not leave those areas and you can not take all of one ingredient. Take a tray and measure your ingredients on the tray. May use the computer for ideas, but remember it all must get done in the time frame. Dishes on either side of sink is an automatic disqualification-- Once the buzzer sounds, hands up and step away. Chopped Contest You will be graded on these areas.
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 3 pts	Good 5 pts
Creativity 25 pts How creative was your end product?	Poor Plain, didn't try to explore their possibilities.	Fair Spent little time. It was good but nothing special.	Good It's very unique and different. Put thought and time into it.
Taste 25 pts How did the final product taste?	Poor Not edible- needs work!	Fair Average- it was ok but could have been better.	Good Great flavor- perfectly cooked.
Prsentation 25 pts Enter description	Poor Put together quick and sloppy.	Fair Should have spent more time on this aspect.	Good Plated great- decorated nicely good color contrast, shape, texture
Teamwork/time mgt. 25 pts	Poor Group did not work together to get task accomplished in 30 minutes, poor cleanup	Fair Group only had 1 or 2 people working while everyone else did all the cleanup	Good Group work excellent, all team worked together and complete the food item in 30 min.
