5th Math Data Graphing Project

Students will take a survey using questions to gather, record, and graph data using a frequency table and a bar graph. Students are required to poll at least 30 people for each survey question, using a question that has at least 5 possible answer choices; must draw frequency table and bar graph on a separate sheet of paper and on a poster.

Circle Graphs 25 pts Students are required to complete an accurate circle graph using a Google Doc, Google Draw, or filling in the circle using their geometry template. Graphs must include accurately measured "pie pieces," labels, and percentages based on the data collected. (Present on Poster Board or Anchor Chart)	Exemplary Circle graph was made using a Google Doc or Google Draw. Students could have also created the circle graph, and sectioned "pie pieces" using their geometry template. Graph includes appropriate title, labels, and percentages based on data collected. (Present on Poster Board or Anchor Chart)	Exemplary Bar graphs include: title, axes labels, intervals and grid lines, and they show above-average attention to detail, precision, and neatness.	Satisfactory Bar graphs include: title, axes labels, intervals and grid lines, and they show that planning was evident.	Needs Improvement Bar graphs include less than two of the following: title, axes labels, intervals and grid lines. Planning and neatness are not always evident.
