Song-Pitch/Tone
Excellent
Tone is clear and supported all of the time. Notes are on pitch. No difficulty hearing entire song.
Good
Tone is clear and supported most of the time. Notes are on pitch, but performance is not loud enough in parts.
Fair
Tone is sometimes clear and supported. Notes are sometimes on pitch. Lacks volume most of the time.
Needs improvement
Tone is generally unsupported and there is little evidence of ability to match pitch. Cannot be heard.
Song - Stage Presence/Memory Work
Excellent
The entire song is memorized and the singer is confident, poised, and relaxed.
Good
The song is memorized, but the singer is somewhat uncomfortable. Singer occasionally fidgets, wavers vocally, allows nervousness to show.
Fair
The song is clearly not memorized, the singer forgets and starts over. Singer fidgets, has vocal wavering, and shows little confidence.
Needs improvement
Singer has to hold music and appears very uncomfortable on stage.
Song- Rhythm
Excellent
Rhythm is correct throughout the song and tempo is correct.

Rhythm and tempo is mostly correct.

Some problems with rhythm and/or tempo.

Student picks up dance moves quickly and has no problem performing it on their own.

Student has some difficulty either learning the dance or performing it on their own.

Student has trouble learning the dance and is unable to perform it, but tries.
