Earth and the Solar System Earth and the Solar System This rubric is used in order to help you see where your students stand. This rubric is based off of the Fl Standard SC.5.E.5.2. Students are assigned a science journal and must complete it after the lesson for grading. Neatness and Ogranization	Poor Hand-writting is sloopy and hard to read. Notebook organization is hard to follow.	Fair Hand-writting is not too neat and organization is not easy to understand.	Good Hand-writting is neat and organization of journal is easy to understand and follow.
Content Accuracy	Poor Written responses demonstrate that student failed to understand the science concepts and vocabulary terms.	Fair Written responses show there is minimal understanding to the science concepts and the vocabulary terms.	Good Written responses show student had a successful understanding of the science concepts and vocabulary terms.
Required Elements	Poor Table of contents has not been updated, pages are unumbered, and there are no titles on pages	Fair Table of contents is not up-to-date, missing some numbers on pages, and missing some titles.	Good Table of contents is updated, pages are numbered and titles are provided at the top of each page.
Illustrations and diagrams	Poor Illustrations and diagrams are sloopy/unclear or missing.	Fair Some illustrations and diagrams are clear, accurate ,and labeled, some missing.	Good Illustrations and diagrams are clear/neat, and all labeled.
Conclusion and reflection	Poor Conclusion and reflections are unclear and are hard to understand. Conclusion shows student had a hard time understanding.	Fair Conclusion and reflection show some understanding of the concepts, but are hard to follow.	Good Conclusion and reflection show students successful understanding of the concepts presented.
Interactive	Poor Student had a hard time answering questions from other students.	Fair Student was able to answer some questions from other students	Good Student was able to answer accurately questions asked.
