Sample Set 2 - Sewing Construction seams Sample Set 2 - Sewing Construction seams Students sew 4 different sample seams with muslin. Mount to card stock, properly label seams. Students scored on how straight and even seams are, as well as proper identification. Neatness and evenness count heavy. Plain Seam 2 pts	Poor Seams are puckered and/or uneven. The seams are not consistent in width and not what directions called for. Seams are not pressed open.	Fair Seams are smooth, but not sewn straight and even. Seams may or may not be ironed open. Seams are not consistent in width.	Good Seams are smooth and sewn mostly straight. Seams have mostly a consistent width, and are pressed open	Excellent Seams are consistently smooth, sewn straight and are of even width. Seams are pressed open.
