Model of an Organelle Science Model Students create a model using modeling clay of one of the four organelles below: nucleus, mitochondria, chloroplast, or ribosome. The key must describe the function of the organelle and the function of the structures inside the organelle. Labels are handwritten and hard to read. 2 parts are labeled incorrectly/	Proficient The model is labeled correctly using tooth picks and typed font. 1 mistake is present.	Exceeds The model is labeled using tooth picks and typed numbers. Labels are correct and match the key.	Comments
Organization and Mechanics	Novice Model is messy or hard to follow. Pieces are falling off model.	Developing Model is neat but contains some errors. 2 or more parts are missing.	Proficient Model is neat, accurate, and easy to follow. Lacks detail, creativity, or is missing 1 part of the organelle.	Exceeds Model is neat, accurate, easy to follow, and shows detail and student's creativity.	Comments
