Fair

Slides contain minimal information relevant to the tpoic. Student haphazardly selects material to present and does so without coherence or order.

Chapter is minimally presented. Student lacks understanding of basic terms and concepts in the presentation.
Graphics/Use of Media

Slides are attractive. Text is legible. No grammatical errors. Graphics and effects are used throughout to enhance presentation. Information is at the advanced level and consistently supports images. Uses other technology into slides (YouTube clips, sound bites, etc.) to enhance materials

Slides are attractive. Text is legible. No grammatical errors. More than half of the slides use graphics and effects to enhance presentation. Information adequately supports images. Some use of media.
Fair

Slides are legible. Amount of text is too great for the amount of space provided. Some grammatical errors. Less than half the slides have graphics or effects. Information supports images at times. Minimal use of media.
Poor

The slides are not legible. The amount of text is too great for the space provided. There are several grammatical errors. There is little use of graphics or effects. The information does not consistently support images. No evidence of media used to enhance the materials of slides.
Presentation/Organization

Excellent

The presenter is well organized and it is clear the presenter understands the content. More information is given than what is on the PowerPoint. Presentation is 15 min.
Meets Expectations

The presentation is well Organized. The presenter misses some key aspects of the material. Most material is presented in new form and not just as it is written on the screen. Presentation is shorter than 15 min.
Fair

The presenters make minimal eye contact with the audience. Everything is read directly from the screen. Presentation is to shorter than 10 min.
Poor

The presenters make no contact with the audience. Everything is read directly from the screen. Presentation is much longer or much shorter than the allotted time.
Engagement

Excellent

The presentation makes connections to current events, personal experiences, and/or experiences of Academy students to make the content interesting and relevant to the audience. Also, includes extra information from other sources.
Meets Expectations

Some connections are made above and beyond what is in the textbook.

Student makes false connections to real world experiences or presents the text as if it is "boring."
