Social Immersion Program Participation Social Immersion Program Participation This rubric will evaluate the participation of a student based on preparedness, behavior, attitude, attendance, and social interaction during their social immersion program. Active Involvement	Excellent Learner is constantly engaged in the activity. Learner shows awareness of the issues and asks and answered questions.	Above Average Learner could participate more in the activities.	Average Learner is a passive participant through most of the immersion experience.	Poor Learner is not involved with the activities around the immersion trips. Learner is distracting to the group as a whole.	Teacher Score
Preparation	Excellent Learner completed assigned task/role and is ready with required materials for the immersion activities. Learner has done all assignments with best effort and is ready for the activities.	Above Average Learner completed assigned task/role and is ready with required materials for the immersion activities. Learner has done the basic required assignments and is ready for most of the activities.	Average Learner has completed some of the assigned tasks / role and is somewhat ready for the immersion activities.	Poor Learner did not complete required tasks/roles Learner contributed little or nothing at all to the overall activities.	Teacher Score
Attitude	Excellent Learner is positive about the immersion activities being and sets the example for Learners around him/her.	Above Average Learner is positive about the immersion activities. Social Interaction	Excellent Learner respects and encourages the views of others. Student builds on others efforts.	Above Average Body and/or verbal responses indicate active listening/participation.
