Steady Beat in Kindergarten 
This rubric is to evaluate the student's proficiency of keeping or showing steady beat. While listening to a variety of music, students may be assessed in any of the the following ways: 1. Students will tap the steady beat using icons as representations of the beat 2. Students will use body percussion to show steady beat. 3. Students will use locomotive and non-locomotive movement to show steady beat. 4. Students will use pitched and non-pitched instruments to demonstrate steady beat.
