Growing a plant Growing a plant The student will be given a seed to plant. As the plant grows the student will make observations, compare their plant growth to others in their group and write down observations as the plant grows. The student will plant their seeds. Student had very good success with socializing with peers, following directions and participating in self assessment.	Good Job Attempted a small portion of the project, but did not participate often enough. Student had some success with socializing with peers, following directions and participating in self assessment.	Keep Trying Did not demonstrate effort for this project, and did not participate. Student had minimal success with socializing with peers, following directions and participating in self assessment.
Task Completion Student was able to demonstrate skills by completing a graphic organizer.	Outstanding Student's work demonstrated clear knowledge of the plant growth process. This included what plants need to grow and how they grow.	Great Work Student's work demonstrated adequate knowledge of the plant process and how to care for them. Student could identify most of the needs of a plant in order to grow.	Good Job Student's report included some knowledge of the plant growing process and how to care for them. Student could identify some of the needs of a plant in order to grow.	Keep Trying Student did not complete this portion of the project, or turned in work that demonstrated little knowledge of the plant activity. Student had no clear idea of the needs of a plant in order to grow.
