BAJC1002_CAT-3 Journalism History Poster & Presentation 
The student will put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to their chosen journalism historical topic. Students will collect pictures (at least 3) and include facts to create a creative and colorful poster. The poster will be designed on a single sheet of poster paper. The poster sheet may be shaped creatively to align with the topic.

The poster includes all information relevant to the topic. The poster is creative, clear and concise. The student had all the information that was taught in class or required for assignment.

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Average

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Good

The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation.
Excellent

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Creativity

Lacks original creativity Not good use of space on poster. Messy. Lacks color, texture.
Average

Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not a lot of color/design. Most of the drawings/writing is the student's own ideas.
Good

Contains students own ideas. Lots of colors and appealing design. Shows the student spent time creating an artistic piece.
Excellent

Eye catching. Great use of colors, texture, and spacing on poster. Creativity is shown to in every area on the poster. Writing is easy to read.
Format

Poor

Not on required poster paper and/or submitted late. Pieces/items falling or hanging off.
Average

Poster paper is damaged, poorly presented. Poster was possibly submitted later than original due date.
Good

Poster is correct size, clean and neatly displayed. No items falling off. Submitted on due date.
Excellent

Poster is of exceptional quality and presentation. Submitted on time.
Voice/Presentation

Poor

Students did not speak in a tone that could be heard by all students - too soft. Information too hard to understand. Student did not present or was under 15 seconds
Average

Voice is acceptable - many gaps in flow of information or times voice could not be understood by all. Student was not prepared and read from the poster.
Good

Voice is good with minimal gaps in flow of information. Student was confident and knew topic well enough to only glance at poster.
Excellent

Student 's voice was loud and clear. Information was easy to understand. Student was well prepared and only referred to the poster for picture information.
