Ideas & Content	Distinguished Includes abundant on topic information and details about the famous person that indicate how the individual became famous. All information is on topic and appropriate for the class.	Proficient Includes many important facts & applicable details about the famous figure with some indication of how that person became famous.	Emerging Covers only some of factual details of the famous figure and includes some details but simple and figure presented.	Basic Covers little/none of factual details and reasons for fame. Details are limited.
Organization	Distinguished Created a well-organized biography of the person, reflecting creativity. Includes interesting and appropriate/ on topic facts.	Proficient Well-organized with appropriate flow and transitions. Very little engagement or creativity.	Emerging Simple style with limited organizational pattern. Includes off topic or inappropriate facts.	Basic No recognisable sense of organization, or simple format (lists, outlines) Lack of logical flow or progression. Only short, simple sentence structure.
Grammar	Distinguished Few (0-2) spelling, punctuation, run-on sentences, fragments, and/or other grammar issues within detailed text.
