Fast Shutter Speed 
Students will take one of the subjects they have practiced fast shutter speed with (bubbles, water balloons, confetti) and create a portfolio.

Photographs do not demonstrate use of the principles of composition l framing issues. Choices of subject matter, lighting, locations and perspectives do not reflect final exam work.

Elements of composition are weak. Subject matter, lighting, locations and perspectives are bland and unremarkable, resulting in a last-minute appearance.
SATISFACTORY

Some composition elements are used to benefit the message of the photo. Photo explores expression. Subjects, lighting, locations, posing and perspectives show somewhat limited thought.

Emphasis on the meaning/message of the photo. Expression is emphasized/genuine. Subjects are well chosen. Interesting and creative.
EXCELLENT

Composition is very engaging, interesting and expressive! Extensive thought went into subject and treatment choices. Experimentation led to very creative and imaginative perspectives.
Technical

POOR

Knowledge and understanding of fundamental Technology is limited and shows no growth for the year.
FAIR

Very limited understanding of the technology used in this class. Did not show an understanding of InDesign and PhotoShop.
SATISFACTORY

Student took some care to demonstrate their progress. Some understanding of technical concepts been shown.

Strong classroom learning and overall technical competence is evident. Student understood and met the essential goal of establishing their progress in the class.
EXCELLENT

Student recognized task at hand/produced a remarkable/visually poignant body of work. Establishes superior knowledge/understanding of course technology.
