Articulation of Reduction in Speech The students will be converting a formal skit into an informal conversation using reductions in speech. Pronunciation	Poor Pronunciation is unclear to the point of complete differentiation from the word	Fair Pronunciation is mostly unclear where only a few phonemes are said properly	Average Pronunciation is relatively understandable where half of the phonemes are clear	Good Pronunciation is mostly clear and concise with most of the phonemes being said properly	Excellent All of the phonemes are being articulated properly with strong use of the mouth and jaw
Reduction in Speech	Poor There was only one or no reductions in speech used properly	Fair Two reductions in speech were used properly	Average Three reductions in speech were used properly	Good Four reductions in speech were used properly	Excellent Five or more reductions in speech were used properly
Comprehension	Poor The skit was not understandable based on the translation from formal to informal speech.	Fair The skit was difficult to understand but keywords and concepts were conveyed	Average The skit was at least half way understandable while portraying key concepts, keywords, and nuance in expression	Good The skit was mostly understandable while heavily portraying the concepts, keywords, and nuance in expression of the dialogue	Excellent The skit was completely understandable as well as the word use, concepts, and nuance in expression throughout the dialogue
