Kindergarten Rhythms Students will identify, classify, produce, and perform rhythms.
	Developing (N/A)	Meeting (N/A)	Exceeding (N/A)
Identify a pattern	Developing Student is able to identify a pattern, but cannot say how many counts/beats it has.	Meeting Student is able to identify patterns and identify the number of counts/beats in the pattern.	Exceeding Student is able to identify patterns and the counts in patterns independently.
Notes and Rests Quarter note and Quarter rest	Developing Student cannot identify a notes or rests.	Meeting Student is able to identify either notes or rests	Exceeding Student is able to identify both notes and rests.
Performance Students are expected to perform a pattern with 3 or 4 beats.	Developing Student is able to perform a basic 3 or 4 beat pattern.	Meeting Students are able to perform patterns with 3 or 4 beats using claps and attempting to use a rest.	Exceeding Students are able to perform patterns with 3 or 4 beats using both claps and rests.
