	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Relevancy/Interactivity	Poor Student did not refer to the postings of other students or did refer to at least one other student but in an inappropriate manner.	Fair Student made passing but limited references to the postings of at least one other student.	Good Student tied his or her comments to the postings and observations of other students
Use of information	Poor Student did not tie posting(s) to outside information or to the text or did so in an inaccurate or misleading way.	Fair Student tied his/her posting to outside information or to the text, but only in a limited way.	Good Student showed command of the readings and possibly brought in information from other sources.
Participation	Poor Student did not actively participate in online discussion. Student posted only 1 response.	Fair Student actively participated to the discussion by responding to posts of other students. Student posted at least 2 responses.	Good Student actively participated to the discussion by responding to posts and providing feedback on topic. Student posted 3 or more times.
