Cultural Dance MIDTERM - Spring 2020 
Students are assigned to create either a praise dance or a hip hop dance. Both dances should reflect historical and rooted themes, embody the issues and physicality of the original dance form, and communicate the essence and energy these dance forms bring to the black culture.

shows good knowledge of the topic, and has clear, committed connections of movements in dance to topic. Draws on previous lectures and discussions to express opinion and connects topic to other concepts in pop culture and personally.
