Understanding of fresco history and process	Poor Student work is not on target at all.	Fair Student work may have many errors but evidence of understanding and process is there.	Good Student may have had many errors but understood the history and process of fresco painting.	Very Good Student understood the process and history of fresco making and ended up with a successful work of art.	Excellent Student followed directions without fail.
Originality	Poor Student copied another student or teacher made example entirely.	Fair Student copied another student or teacher on certain elements but did include a few elements of their own.	Good Student created average original work.	Very Good Student created original work but also took some risk with the assignment to come up with something more original.	Excellent Student created original work but also to much risk in their assigment to come up with something more original.
Workmanship	Poor Student work is incomplete and shows that most of the student's time was wasted.	Fair Student work is incomplete and shows that some time was wasted or focused entirely in one area of their project	Good Student created an average finished artwork.	Very Good Student went above and beyond to create a finely executed finished artwork.	Excellent Student created personal best.
