Inferences from nonfiction text	Not Proficient Inferences are vague and textual evidence is not relevant to response.	Nearly Proficient Inferences have clarity but some of the textual evidence is paraphrased.	Proficient Quote accurately from a text when drawing inferences.	Highly Proficient Inferences are made with superior clarity using textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly.
