Content	Excellent The archetypes are clearly defined using textual evidence. Knowledge of the archetype is clearly evident and accurately applied to the text.	Good Some textual evidence is used to demonstrate knowledge of the archetypes.	Fair Lacks textual evidence. Incomplete discussion of stages of the archetype and its application to the text.	Poor Archetypes are inaccurately applied and little knowledge of the text is evident.
Citations	Excellent Elements are clearly labeled and contain an accurate citation with page number for textual evidence. Correct bibliographical references for any additional research.	Good Textual evidence provided but citations are not used in all the places they should be.	Fair Incorrect or incomplete citations.	Poor Confused stages of the hero's journey indicate lack of application of class lectures and discussion. No textual evidence. No citations.
