Student will choose 4 universal themes from the novel, create a theme statement for each, and support the theme statement by evidence from text.

The writing does not show evidence of comprehension of theme.
Conventions	Exceptional Few, if any, punctuation and spelling errors. Few, if any, errors in language structure. Verb usage is consistent.
