The student has gone beyond the expectations required.	Proficient The topic is identified. The report has most of the key elements. Content is written in student friendly language and is easy to read.	Developing Did not include all of the required elements. Main points are present with limited detail.	Emerging Major facts are missing. Content is difficult to understand.
Grammar and Mechanics	Exceeding Capitalization and punctuation are correct throughout the report. There are no grammatical errors and run-ons.	Proficient A few spelling and punctuation, and grammatical errors allowing reader to follow ideas clearly.	Developing Most spelling, punctuation, and grammar correct allowing reader to progress though the paragraph. Some errors remain.	Emerging Spelling, punctuation, grammatical errors create distraction. Errors are frequent.
Work Cited	Exceeding Work cited list is provided on the bottom of the paragraph. Clearly shows student effort beyond the use of basic search for minimal resources.
