Cultural Traditions Exam - Essay Students were asked to watch a cultural video on one of the six cultures featured this semester and write an essay on their thoughts of the cultural traditions featured in it. Students must mention at least four distinct examples of cultural traditions in their essay and discuss each one.

Technology - Student Watched Film 50 pts Evidence student used technology to watch the video and understand the content. Examples are drawn from the video to support the essay.	Poor The student did not mention any distinct examples of cultural traditions that were featured in the cultural video.	Fair The student did not mention at least one to two distinct examples of cultural traditions that were featured in the cultural video.	Good The student did not mention at least three distinct examples of cultural traditions that were featured in the cultural video.	Excellent The student did not mention at least four distinct examples of cultural traditions that were featured in the cultural video.
Grammar 20 pts Grammar, Spelling, and Flow of Content.	Poor The student made many grammar and spelling errors in their essay. The essay is very difficult to read and the flow close to non-existent. The content is disjointed.	Fair The student made many grammar and spelling errors in their essay. The essay is a bit difficult to read and the flow is very segmented. That being said, the content of the essay is still relevant and somewhat understandable.	Good The student made more than four grammar and spelling errors in their essay. The essay is difficult to read at times, but overall, the content makes sense and lows okay.	Excellent The student made fewer than four grammar and spelling errors in their essay. The essay is easy to read and the flow is very well executed. Transitions are apparent and correct between paragraphs.
Word-Count 10 pts Student accurately followed the word-count requirement.	Poor Student used 300 or less words for their essay.	Fair Student used 300 to 350 words or less for their essay.	Good Student used around 400 words for their essay.	Excellent Student used 500 and above words for their essay. Certain students can receive full points if their essays are between 450-500 words and the content is complete.
