Student on student interviews 
Students will select a partner and conduct a student to student interview. The sample questions are to be used as a guide. Students should be conducting the interview in accordance with the assignment instructions in a manner that they find most relevant to them.

Needs Improvement

Interviewee/er asked basic questions only and had trouble staying focused. No engaging content, interview was forced.
Fair

Interviewer worked from suggested questions, did not put any personal effort into the interview. Interviewee Answers short and non-personal offering little insight into who he/she might be.
Good

interviewer showed interest in subject but failed to follow up with pertinent questions. Asked good questions and received some authentic answers however not thorough enough for viewers to get a sense of who the interviewee, really was.
Excellent

Interviewer took control over the interview.The interviewer asked thoughtful questions, and followed up with questions that provided insight and understanding as to who the person really was. as a result the viewer was left with a sense that they really knew the person that was being interviewed.
Creativity, good questions

Needs Improvement

Interviewer showed no creativity or commitment to the process. Both students produced minimum level work.
Fair

interviewer and interviewee approached it like an exercise. No energy or enthusiasm and very little effort. I had a remote I would've change the channel after the first two minutes.
Good

Interviewer and interviewee created some chemistry between themselves. Interviewer was asking good questions and interviewee was responding as if he/she were really interested and focused on presenting the best person they could.
Excellent

interviewer and interviewee comfortable in each other's presence. Good questions, great follow-up questions, answers, and reflection. Students demonstrated through their communication who they actually were and let the viewers know something personal about them and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Voice, natural and relaxed

for you conscious of the voice you are using. Was it monotone, did you put people to sleep?

Needs Improvement

Unable to comprehend much of what was being said by the interviewer or interviewee. Pretty much a waste of time.
Fair

Both students could be heard but at many points not really understood. There was a noticeable strain in their voices and some wavering which damaged the credibility of both participants.
Good

Both students spoke naturally and with good pronunciation. Clearly demonstrated that the voice that is needed for interviews, E. G. Job interviews, needs to be purposeful, precise, clear and confident. They created rapport between themselves that showed trust to watch.
Excellent

Student started off strong and continued getting more comfortable with each other and asking better questions and getting substantial answers. They approached nirvana for interviews and conversations meaning, viewers wanted to continue watching to see what question was going to be asked next and to see how it was going to be answered.
Eye Contact good, bad, or creepy

Needs Improvement

Both interviewer and interviewee seem to be more interested in looking at something else for instance questions or around the room. No real eye contact and chemistry look like both of them just did not want to be there.

There was eye contact. Nothing else just eye contact like looking at a great white shark and not knowing what was going to happen next.
Good

Both students made eye contact with each other and utilized it to their advantage. What this is to say is that there eye contact matched their body language and demonstrated either trust or distrust honesty or deception. It could have been good or bad but at least it was there.
Excellent

Both students optimized eye contact and body language. The conversation/interview look effortless and engaging for the people participating. This put the viewers in the position of feeling comfortable with what they were proceeding saying it as honest and authentic exactly what a job interview should be.
Body Language matching speech

slouching, slumping, picking your nose, scratching yourself, looking distracted or uninterested – how many of these sins did you commit?

Needs Improvement

interviewers and interviewees body language and posture were distracting. In other words their actions were so glad no one can hear what was being said.
Fair

Eventually the interviewer and interviewee got past the deer in the headlights look. However the body language did not follow the conversation or the eye contact. The body language distracted from the content of the interview.
Good

Both students were aware of the effect that their body language would have on the viewers or interviewers. The effort that they put into it with obvious and they clearly demonstrated body language that showed interest, sincerity, honesty, and genuine interest.
Excellent

Both students understood the power of body language and made it look like they have been using it correctly for a long time. Saw their body language at authentic and honest matching words to actions.
Pronunciation and clarity

can people understand what you are saying or are you that annoying person nobody really understands

Needs Improvement

That words mispronounced, improper use of language lack of understanding, obviously not knowing the definition of the words they were using. Uninspired and unwatchable.
Fair

Some words were mispronounced but for the most part the conversation was unintelligible and difficult to listen to.
Good

Both students took what they had and used it to their best ability. They adjusted their speech and spoke clearly, good diction and pace. They understood and embraced the challenge that everyone faces when relying on oral communication. Make sure everyone understands what you're saying and make sure you understand the meaning of what you're saying.
Excellent

Excellent pronunciation and diction. Students used their voices and the words that were chosen for questions and responses like prize fighters.
Dress

Bonus category, look good, feel good, get points, think Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, only better.

Needs Improvement

This coupled with body language, demonstrated no concern over the image they were projecting.
Fair

Students dressing a little bit better than normal.
Good

Both students ran the fine line of dressing the way they wanted to dress but doing it in a way that effectively conveyed styling and class at the same time. Students understand dress, posture, diction, and attitude all play an important role in creating the person they're working to become.
Excellent

Students took the time to dress appropriately for the exercise. They have an understanding of the importance of what is called "habits of mind." Success in mastery over what you do happened slowly and does not come easily. Constant purposeful practice and analytical, critical reflection are habits that come over time. If you don't start now when will you start?
