DANCE PERFORMANCE

Knowledge of choreography individual	Excellent I demonstrate excellent knowledge of the choreography and do it well. Dance is in sync to music	Good I demonstrate good knowledge of choreography. I keep up with group. Few errors, however it does not interfere with performance. Dance is in sync to music	Acceptable I demonstrates knowledge of choreography. I keep up with group. Some errors. May not be in sync to music.	Partial I demonstrate some knowledge of choreography, but unsure of some movements. I sometimes hesitate/ watch others and make several errors.	Minimal I remember a few of the steps/ movements and try, but look lost and out of sync with others and music.
Technical skills/Execution individual	Excellent I perform dance with great attention to quality of movement, body position, placement in relation to the group and other details of dance. i.e. pointed toes, strong core, energetic, and fun.	Good I perform dance with attention to details of technique, and have attained proficiency in dance style. Strong technique.	Acceptable I perform dance with attention to most details of technique, but haven't attained proficiency in dance style yet. Technique has not been developed yet.	Partial I only some understanding of technical elements (ie. footwork, quality of movements, body positions) demonstrated in performance. Lacking in technique.	Minimal I remember some of dance, but little attention paid to how movements are done or other details of dance. No attempt at technique.
Choreography/Musicality as a group	Excellent Choreography tells a story, goes with the music, and is deliberate. Music is chosen because it matches the message. Group performs well together, in sync and in time to music..	Good	Acceptable	Partial	Minimal Choreography does not tell a story, does not fit music. may not be changed from original dance. Dancers are not together or in rhythm with music.
