Ready Position	Level 1 The student has hands at the side <BR> <BR> Doesn't display ready characteristics without teacher reminder	Level 2 Student sometimes displays ready position characteristics	Level 3 Student frequently displays ready position characteristics.	Level 4 The student always faces the target, feet shoulder-width apart, knees are bent, eyes on the approaching object, elbows bent near sides, hands held in front of body
Step and Reach	Level 1 Student avoids or shows fear of the ball.<BR> <BR> Student does not move to the ball	Level 2 Student sometimes uses their hands but frequently hugs the ball to their body<BR> <BR> Sometimes steps to where ball is thrown	Level 3 The student frequently shows level 4 characteristics.	Level 4 The student always steps to meet the ball with relaxed arms and hands in the proper position depending on where the ball is thrown
Accurately Throws the Ball	Level 1 The student does not accurately throw the ball to the target.	Level 2 The students accurately throws the ball to the target 4 times for each rotations.	Level 3 The student accurately throws the ball to the target 5 to 8 times for each ball rotation.	Level 4 The student accurately throws the ball to the target 9 to 10 times for each ball rotations.
Accurately Catches the Ball	Level 1 The students is not able to catch the ball for any of the rotations.	Level 2 The student is able to catch the ball 4 times for most of the rotations.	Level 3 The student is able to catch the ball 4 times for each of the rotations.	Level 4 The student always catches the ball.
