Basketball
	Beginning 1 pts	Developing 2 pts	Proficient 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Dribble Basketball	Beginning Cannot dribble the basketball using correct form; using finger pads, keeping the ball at the level of the waist using only one hand at a time.	Developing Can dribble and control the basketball using proper technique some of the time.	Proficient Can dribble and control the basketball using proper technique and alternating hands most of the time.	Excellent Can dribble and control the basketball using proper technique and alternating hands all of the time.
Shoot Basketball	Beginning Cannot shoot the ball successfully. Does not use proper form; dominant hand under the ball, non-dominant hand on the side as a guide, bends knees and follow through with a flick of the wrist.	Developing Can shoot the ball correctly some of the time. Sometimes uses proper form or some of the proper techniques.	Proficient Can shoot the ball correctly and follow through most of the time.	Excellent I can use two hands to shoot the ball correctly and follow through all of the time.
Rules	Beginning I do not follow the rules of basketball. I argue with other players and umpires.	Developing I sometimes follow the rules of basketball. Sometimes I argue with other players and umpires.	Proficient I follow the rules of basketball and I am a team player most of the time.	Excellent I consistently follow the rules of basketball. I am a team player all of the time.
