Subject/Predicate Sentences
	Poor 5 pts	Almost there 10 pts	Met Expectation 15 pts	Exceeded Expectation 20 pts
Complete sentence	Poor Needed more time to think. Sentences aren't clear. All sentences are incomplete.	Almost there Still working on it. The reader gets the idea of what student is trying to say. Two or less sentences are incomplete.	Met Expectation Sentence was clear. Could have had more details. Only one sentence is incomplete.	Exceeded Expectation Sentence painted a picture. Sentence had a compound subject and predicate. No incomplete sentences.
Subject was correct	Poor Unable to identify the subject of the sentence.	Almost there Student was able to pick out the simple subject (noun) but not the complete subject.	Met Expectation Student was able to correctly identify the complete subject.	Exceeded Expectation Student was able to correctly color code the simple and complete subject.
