Subcutaneous Injection Administration Rubric 
A satisfactory score is required. If the student has four or less "needs improvement" he or she will have the opportunity to explain the corrective action in the debriefing. If greater than four "needs improvement" , the student will need to remediate. the skill in a scheduled lab appointment

3. Pinch area of injection of thin person to avoid IM injection.

3. Check the injection site for induration and redness
4. If any unusual reactions occur notify the provider
5. Note observation of the injection site in record

Fails to observe the patient post-injection for the full 15 minutes.

Observes the patient post-injection but fails to correctly document the observation in the patient health record.
