Meaning and Originality	Not Yet Prayer appear to be thoughtless or rushed. Work is very repetitive, and ideas are unoriginal.	Meeting Most of the prayer is creative, but appears to be rushed.	Excelling Prayer is creative and original. It is evident that the student put thought into their words and uniquely conveyed their ideas and emotions.
Details and Imagery	Not Yet Difficult to visualize image or emotion;limited or no details.	Meeting Some details are provided. Some use of image, idea, or emotion.	Excelling Vivid, detailed images and intensely felt emotion make the prayer come alive. Prayer creatively uses techniques to provide insightfulness for the reader.
Grammar	Not Yet There are numerous spelling or grammar errors, making the poems difficult to understand. Punctuation is used incorrectly.	Meeting The student's intended meaning is confusing by several spelling or grammar errors. Punctuation may be misused.
