	Rock 1 pts	Gem 3 pts	Diamond 5 pts
Poem Style 5 pts	Rock Poem uses some of the correct parts of speech and may or may not be in the shape of a diamond.	Gem Poem uses most of the correct parts of speech and generally looks like a diamond.	Diamond Poem has the correct use of parts of speech and is written in the shape of a diamond.
Spelling & Punctuation 5 pts	Rock Poem has many errors which make it difficult to read.	Gem Poem has errors but is still easy to read.	Diamond Poem has no errors in spelling and punctuation.
Word Choice 5 pts	Rock Little thought has been given to word choice. Your poem would have been more meaningful with a few word substitutions (sparkle words).	Gem Only some of the poem contains interesting,vivid, or descriptive words (sparkle words).	Diamond Poem contains interesting,vivid, or descriptive words (sparkle words).
